  4. There are 14. #7 is short and blends into #8 kinda.

    Comment by Susan M — April 17, 2009 @ 8:18 am

  5. I’m still only hearing 13. If #7 is two songs, then I missed two. I can’t hear two songs there, but I don’t know what song that is, so maybe I’m just an idiot. So then, that would make Human League #9?

    1. Peter Frampton: Baby I Love Your Way
    2. The Supremes: Baby Love
    3. Bread: Baby I’m a Want You
    4. Jane’s Addiction: Mountain Song
    5. Van Morrison: Baby Please Don’t Go
    6. Donna Summer: Love to Love You Baby
    7. ?

  7. Whew, glad I’m not crazy.

So did I get them all right except #7?

    Comment by MCQ — April 17, 2009 @ 9:57 am

So… at least I had heard and knew the tunes to all of the songs in this. I may not have known all the songs/artists but this was easier for me than the last one I listened to.

    Comment by Janelle — April 17, 2009 @ 10:13 am

  9. MCQ: Yeah, except #1 is a version by a band called Big Mountain.

  11. Damn. I was thinking old motown. Shows what I know.

    Comment by MCQ — April 17, 2009 @ 11:08 am

  12. I didn’t even think of #1 being someone other than Frampton. I should have listened closer.

    Comment by MCQ — April 17, 2009 @ 11:08 am

  13. Big Mountain did the version that was in Reality Bites. Thus ends my trivia for the day…

    Comment by gabby — April 17, 2009 @ 12:16 pm

  14. The clip of “Push It” that you used was very tough. Probably the only part of that song that is not very recognizable.

    Comment by MCQ — April 17, 2009 @ 12:24 pm

  16. MCQ are you googling these? That’s cheating

    Comment by Geoff J — April 17, 2009 @ 1:01 pm

  17. MCQ: I had a request to use “Push It,” and that specific line from it.

    Comment by Susan M — April 17, 2009 @ 1:03 pm

  18. Susan, what do you use to splice pieces of MP3′s together?

This one was very fun. (I knew 6 for sure. Only knew the Jane’s Addiction song from Rock Band!)

There used to be an 80′s website that did weekly clips like this. My wife and I were totally addicted to that contest.

    Comment by FHL — April 17, 2009 @ 1:28 pm

  19. Oh, FHL….I LOVED that website. My sister & I would play every Friday morning when we both got to work.

    Comment by gabby — April 17, 2009 @ 1:29 pm

  20. I use a free software called Goldwave. Audacity is also good, but Goldwave is really simple to use.

    Comment by Susan M — April 17, 2009 @ 1:58 pm

  21. No, Geoff, but thanks for asking. If I was googling, I’m sure I could have gotten Outkast.

I had to wiki Can’t Get Enough of You Baby to get the band, because I knew it wasn’t Smashmouth but I couldn’t remember who did the original version. Turns out The Toys did, so that didn’t help.

I do listen to the song on iTunes to confirm whether I’m right, but that’s AFTER I guess, so it’s not cheating.

    Comment by MCQ — April 17, 2009 @ 2:25 pm

  22. I googled Eddie Money cuz I’m a cheater like that

    Comment by Geoff J — April 17, 2009 @ 2:28 pm

  23. Susan that was so much fun! I knew most of them this time!

    Comment by Tracy M — April 17, 2009 @ 9:49 pm

  24. A small point of clarification: the band on #5 is Them, not Van Morrison.

    Comment by Brian V — April 18, 2009 @ 1:02 pm

  25. Good catch. I have it as part of a Van Morrison “best of” so it’s labeled as Van in my itunes.

    Comment by Susan M — April 19, 2009 @ 2:53 pm

  26. I always enjoy this game, but I realize I’ve never properly “played” it, since I never leave any comments on it, so… I got 9/13, not too shabby I guess.

    Baby, I love your way
    Baby I’m a want you
    Mountain song
I love to love you, baby
I Love the way you move
    Don’t you love me, baby
    Baby can I hold you
    Baby, come Back
Can’t get enough of you, baby
