Star Wars Manga
There’s a great featurette at starwars.com right now, comparing the original Marvel comic versions of the main Trilogy with the new Japanese manga. The contrast is striking, as the manga manages to be cooler and more interesting than the Marvel version in every way, in many instances outshining the movies themselves.

Very cool. Manga is a very expressive medium. To be fair, though, a modern American graphic novel made today would look a lot better than the old-school Marvel version.

Can I just say how much I hate the way most Japanese Manga seem to do eyes?
Plus The Empire Strikes Back comic was much better. (Although I stopped reading comics shortly thereafter)
