Razor on the Big Screen

Details for Battlestar Galactica: Razor seem to have been confirmed. It will air in theaters on the 12 November, 12 days before it hits the small screen on November 24 (it will also be released on DVD on the 24th).

Razor will air in 8 US cities: New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Seattle, Philadelphia, Dallas, Boston and San Francisco. It will be shown in select theaters at 7pm and 10pm.

The showings are free and you have to be 17 or older to attend.

  2. It’s probably a marketing gimick and they are renting cinema space. I’d be surprised if most cities could muster the volume necessary to make it worth it.

    I would guess that on a Monday (which it is) they could get the screens for free. The theaters would make it up on concessions.

  5. Actually, Sci-Fi cannot legally charge admission for these movies.

    This is because Glen A. Larson has the movie rights to Battlestar Galactica.

  6. Ivan is right re movie rights and the 17+ restriction is because as a TV episode it’s rated TV14.
