David Lynch

by Clark

David Lynch is my favorite director. Even though I’ve not yet seen his last film, Inland Empire yet. Of course with all my adventures this year I don’t get to see many movies at all. Good thing TV is pretty good right now.

But that’s not the point of this post. The point is that David Lynch is looking more and more like an aged Max Headroom everyday.

  2. “Inland Empire” is way cool. Like “Mulholland Dr.” squared.

  3. Max Headroom was my first sci-fi fanboy TV moment. Well, after Family Ties (that was sci-fi, right?).

  4. The TV series of Max Headroom was actually surprisingly good and subversive. Not as good as the BBC version. I never saw the original BBC “interview” show that launched Max Headroom. The TV show (for ABC I think) was kind of a quasi-Blade Runner by way of 1984 and a fairly prescient look at how entertainment and news were merging.
