  1. Who knows? They made Charlotte’s Web into a decent live action movie……

  2. Ugh. No way I’m watching a realistic-lookig spider on a giant movie screen for 2 hours. Worst idea, ever.

    Underdog looks cute.

  3. I hope they retain the theme song.

  4. See, I’ve got opposite opinion from Susan- I can’t wait for Charlotte’s Web (best story of ALL time for kids) but UNDERDOG?? Every fiber of my being scream NOOOOOoooooooooo!

    Why?

Underdog was a schmaltzy, beloved cartoon. The Dog never was meant to be anywhere close to real- so turning it into a live action movie is, well, kinda creepy.

That said, the theme song better be the same.

  5. I;ve heard Charlotte’s Web has basically been littered with farting and belching jokes to increase its appeal to today’s youth. Sad.

  6. Tim, I think you’re mistaken — my impressions thus far have all been pretty positive.

  7. I believe there are both instances of farting and belching in the trailer.

  8. Tim, I just watched it. There is a scene where Templeton the Rat gets farted on by a cow. There’s no belching in the trailer. I really do think you’re off on this one. Here’s the trailer, btw.

  9. I think a computer animated Underdog in a style that pays tribute to the original might be interesting. A live action dog though? What is the point of that? Next we’ll have a live action Mighty Mouse…
