He’ll come sit on your heart
I just received the link to it, friends. Best. Christian. folksong. ever.
It’s called Ask Jesus and it is written and performed by a fine woman and "prayer warrior" in Kentucky named Norma Lee. You really should check out her site.
The email I received from my brother said that Norma Lee’s other song called Hannah Banana has been getting some airplay out in Atlanta lately. Have a listen to it as well and you’ll see why.
But nothing beats her Ask Jesus. You’ll learn as I did that one listen is simply not enough. You’ll find yourself singing it for days afterwards. Enjoy!

If you need a friend turn to Jesus.
I wrote this song to try to help someone.
I played this with my guitars.
Hannah Banana is talking about a daddy that loves his little girl. It’s spreading over Texas, Nebraska, Vermont and now Atlanta Georgia.

Wow… I didn’t expect to see your comment here, Norma Lee.
Thanks for the link back to this post. I expect now that other readers here can see you have an eye on this site there will be plenty of kind and complimentary comments about your songs this week. The thing that has put such a permanent smile on my face and on the faces of everyone else I have shared your songs with is how truly sincere you are. Good luck with the songs.

This almost gives me the courage to post my rendition of Book of Mormon Stories. Almost.

My version is Weepin’ Mary is quite popular, a similar sentiment of “asking” Jesus for comfort.
